Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Diagnostic Evaluations
Seeing Signs of Autism Spectrum Disorder in Your Child?
We’re here to help. From our first phone call to the final report, we want to make sure you feel comfortable and understand everything that’s being done and said. An evaluation is only as good as its recommendations, and recommendations are only helpful if they’re realistic and make sense to you and for your child. After the evaluation is completed, we will sit down with you to go over the results and our recommendations to make sure that we answer any questions you might have.

“Dr. Jen is absolutely fabulous. Not only is she incredibly qualified and good at what she does, but she is also great with children and full of solid parenting tips, which have already made our lives much easier…I would heartily recommend this practice to anyone looking for relevant help.”

FAQ for Diagnostic Evaluations
Yes! In order to appropriately evaluate and determine if someone meets criteria for a diagnosis of ASD, we utilize a full battery of tests that will include assessments of cognitive and academic abilities when appropriate.
Usually, you and your child will come into the office for one visit, lasting approximately three to five hours (with breaks). Sometimes, you might need to come in for an additional briefer visit. When appropriate, we conduct school observations and meet with teachers, staff, and other professionals in the student’s school.
Our comprehensive evaluation costs $3,500*. This includes all interviews, assessments, and a feedback session where we go over the results and recommendations of the evaluation with you in detail.
Although we do not accept insurance, you may be entitled to reimbursement from your insurance company depending on your plan’s benefits and the type of evaluation provided. It is also possible that your school district will cover some or all of the costs for the evaluation.
Currently, we accept cash, check, credit, debit, or your HSA card for payments. Payment is due in full at the start of the first session unless other arrangements have been made and agreed upon. We will also provide you with a detailed invoice and Superbill upon request.
*An additional charge of $1,000 is required for any Forensic (legal) evaluation.
Absolutely! Talking to teachers, faculty, and other important people in your child’s life is an important part of our process to ensure we provide the highest quality report and recommendations. Yup! When we complete the evaluation and have the results and recommendations we will sit down with you for a “feedback session.” During this session, we will review the results, recommendations, provide referrals, and answer any other questions you might have.
We are thrilled to be offering in-person evaluations at this time. We follow strict guidelines to ensure our office is safe and clean for all of our clients. This includes wiping down high touch surfaces, spraying soft surfaces with disinfectant, and using air purifiers. A portion of assessments, such as interviews, may be able to be completed virtually. Please let us know if you’d be more comfortable with completing as much of your evaluation virtually so we can do our best to accommodate your preferences.
