I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care through Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults, in-home, school, and outpatient settings. I am an LGBTQIA+ friendly counselor and welcome the opportunity to help you make the changes you’re looking for and the healing you deserve. When we work together, you’ll find that I am passionate about effective, high-quality treatment. I incorporate evidence-based practices, humor, and kindness, and I will always advocate for you in all of our work together. One of my favorite psychologists, Carl Rogers, said, “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” I think that is so true; I am here to help you accept who you are and then become the person you want to be.
A Little About Me
When I’m not working, I am usually hanging out with animals, whether they are my pets or the wild ones that I try to befriend in my backyard. Disney movies may have given me unrealistic expectations regarding animal interaction, but I’m not giving up on my dream of a talking animal sidekick just yet. I also enjoy working on my house and traveling with my husband.
A Few Fun Facts
I graduated from Chestnut Hill College with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a minor in Art Studio. Afterward, I attended La Salle University for my Master’s in Clinical Counseling. While there, I interned at Elwyn Wraparound Services working with children and their families. Simultaneously, I worked at an art program for adults with developmental disabilities. While pursuing my license, I worked at the Center for Autism as well as a behavior and sexuality consultant at Kencrest Services. After licensure, I worked as an outpatient therapist at the Center for Autism and Thriveworks Counseling. While my career has led me all over, I am delighted it’s brought me here to work with you!
When we speak on the phone, we want to take the time to answer any questions you have about therapy with us. During our initial chat, we will go over policies and fees for the type and length of the sessions that fit you best.
We want you to make the most informed decision about your therapy journey.
Remember…
We invest our time, money, and energy into so many things each week: salon visits, gym memberships, personal training, dining out, and new stuff. Most people invest on visible and tangible things but neglect essentials they (and others) can’t see.
Ask yourself – are you doing everything you should be for your mental health?
We provide private therapy and counseling in our Doylestown, PA offices or secure telehealth sessions for clients who wish to stay home, avoid commuting, or even just save time.
