Emily McKinney, Practice Coordinator

Hello! My name is Emily McKinney, and I am the Practice Coordinator here at Ally Psych. As your initial point of contact, whether you reach out by phone, email, or text, I am here to help. When I joined Ally Psych, I came with over 20 years in the healthcare industry and a degree in healthcare administration that helps me ensure your experience with us goes smoothly, from scheduling, billing, and decoding the headache of insurance reimbursements.

But more importantly, I bring 26 years of being a mom. That experience is what helps me be compassionate, understanding, and eager to help you when you call. I understand that reaching out for help can be difficult and that you may have had bad experiences with it in the past. I want to assure you I will always do my best to return your call, text, or email as quickly as possible. I believe that anyone brave enough to reach out for therapy deserves to be given a call back – no matter what.

When we talk, I am here to answer your questions and make sure you’re paired with the right therapist. At the end of the day, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable trusting us with your mental health and that all of your questions and concerns are answered.

A Little About Me

I have two adult children, a daughter and a son, with whom I always enjoy spending quality time. Cooking is another passion of mine—I enjoy experimenting with new recipes and sharing delicious meals with friends and family. Additionally, I am actively involved with my church community, where I find joy in various activities and events.

I am still pretty young but have been working really hard to learn new things. So far I know how to sit, lay down, and come back to my dad when I hear him call for me. But my biggest skill has been to give you lots of love when you’re in session talking about some tough stuff.
