Milana Iskhakova, Clinical Licensed Social Worker

Hello! My name is Milana Iskhakova and I am a clinical licensed social worker at Ally Psychological Services. Over the last 7 years, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings. I am very excited to bring my knowledge and skillset to Ally Psych!

I love working with children, teens, older adults, and the LGBTQIA+ community. When we work together, I want to honor the efforts you’ve made in the past and are currently making, too. I think it’s important to recognize and celebrate your strengths. I am happy to be on this journey with you and to help you get to where you want to be. In our work together, I specialize in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you examine certain patterns in your life and to uncover why you do or think a certain way. Most importantly, I have a passion for helping people and seeing results! I look forward to working with you and accomplishing your treatment goals!

When we work together, I want to honor the efforts you’ve made in the past and are currently making, too.

A Little About Me

When I am not working, I enjoy cooking, playing with my pets, taking long walks, and hosting family and friends for dinner and conversation. I enjoy staying busy, being outside, and being active, but I also love relaxing at home and having peace and tranquility.

A Few Fun Facts

Education and Training

I attended Cleveland State University, where I received my Bachelor’s in Social Work with a minor in Psychology. I then continued my education at Cleveland State and received my Master’s in Clinical Social Work. While attending in graduate school, I interned at an inpatient psychiatric unit where I worked with individuals who had severe and persistent mental illness. After grad school, I worked in a variety of settings, including, hospitals, residential facilities, nursing homes, and community mental health. Beyond that, I’ve worked with police departments and the suicide hotline to help those in crisis.

Let's Connect!

When we speak on the phone, we want to take the time to answer any questions you have about therapy with us. During our initial chat, we will go over policies and fees for the type and length of the sessions that fit you best.

We want you to make the most informed decision about your therapy journey.

Remember…

We invest our time, money, and energy into so many things each week: salon visits, gym memberships, personal training, dining out, and new stuff. Most people invest on visible and tangible things but neglect essentials they (and others) can’t see.

Ask yourself – are you doing everything you should be for your mental health?
